ATLAS of Lyon County is working with area donors and volunteers to provide a healthy breakfast meal for students from K-8th grade at the ATLAS Ministry Center. Offering a "Summer Breakfast Program" to kids when school is not in session aligns with biblical principles of compassion, care for the vulnerable, and community support. As it is written, "For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in." (Matthew 25:35, NIV) Providing nutritious meals during the summer ensures that children have access to essential nourishment, demonstrating love and kindness towards them as members of our community. Additionally, it fosters a sense of unity and solidarity, as we come together to support and uplift one another, fulfilling the commandment to love our neighbors as ourselves.

      *  We want to make it clear that while ATLAS of Lyon County and Hope Haven are dedicated to ensuring no child in our community goes hungry, we do not provide transportation to and from the Ministry Center.

We ask that all attendees show respect to our volunteers, the property, and each other. Upholding these values of respect and self-control is essential for maintaining a positive and welcoming environment. Failure to comply with these expectations may unfortunately result in an individual's inability to participate in this program.

Long-Term Vision:

We're dreaming big here at ATLAS! By the summer of 2025, our vision is to team up with community organizations, churches, and other wonderful folks to expand our program throughout every corner of Lyon County.

To make this dream a reality, we'll need a few key ingredients: a consistent location where students can gather, amazing volunteers ready to lend a helping hand, and the generous support of donors like you to cover the costs of supplies and food items.

Whether you have time to spare, a gift card to share, farm-fresh eggs to contribute, or a financial donation to offer, we'd love to connect with you! Reach out to us at Officemanager@atlasoflyoncounty.org if you're interested in joining our community partner team.

Let's work together to make a difference in the lives of children in Lyon County!
